Question:
I am trying to find four double eye springs to fit my 1989 Starcraft 5th wheel. It is equipped with tandem axles. The hangers are spaced 25 from center of bolt both front and back. There is a 7 3/4 equalizer on it. The GVWR is 6200#. The springs that are currently on the trailer have a length of 20 1/2 bolt center. If I increase spring length to get the proper weight rating, the top of the mounting straps will angle toward the center hanger. What do you suggest?

You have a couple options the first, and easiest one would be to install 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # 1020. This spring will work dimensionally and bolt right up. The only thing is that your trailer will now have a towing capacity of 4,000 lbs. This may not be an issue if you do not plan to carry more than that weight.
If you do need the full 6,200 lb towing capacity I would recommend you relocate your hangers and additional 3 inches apart on either side and then install a 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # 1724 that has capacities that will exceed the 6,200 lb capacity of your trailer. However, you towing setup is only as strong as your weakest link, so if your trailer is rated for 6,200 lbs adding stronger springs will not allow you to carry more than that amount.
I attached an FAQ article on trailer suspension that you might find informative also.
