Will I be able to open the back door when this is on my car?

The edge of the 24x60 Cargo Carrier, item # 52018 will sit 5-1/2 inches from the center of your hitch pin hole, and the rails are 5-1/2 inches high. You will need to take a look at the clearance needed to open your rear door, and compare that the measurements of the cargo carrier. However, in most cases, customers have no problem opening the rear door of their vehicle.
