Parts Needed to Install a Roof Rack System on the Roof and Camper Shell of a 2006 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I would like to use these feet THTK14 for the top of the cab of my 06 Toyota Tundra. I tried the 4002XT Aero Foot and Fit Kit 2076 which did not fit at all. I am prepared to drill holes in the top of the truck to mount the Tracker II feet. I plan on mounting the THTK13 in the top of the fiberglass shell on the bed of the pickup. I need 7 5 separation between my load bars so I need to put two feet on the cab of the pickup and two on the shell. Is there a better solution? I want to be able to remove the rack quickly and easily. The Tracker II feet seem ideal for that.

Since you are not adverse to drilling your vehicle roof and your camper shell I would recommend going with a Thule Podium Roof Mounted Foot Pack. You can use the square load bars, # THLB58, with the # TH460 Foot Pack or the Rapid Aero Load Bars, # THARB60, with the # TH460R Foot Pack.

To mount the foot packs to the sheet metal roof on your 2006 Toyota Tundra you will need the Thule direct mount system # THKIT3114, which does require drilling into the roof of your vehicle.

To mount the foot packs the the fiberglass camper shell on your truck you will need the Thule direct mount system # THKIT3113, which requires drilling into the roof of the camper shell.

This system would remove and install quickly once the initial installation is completed.
