Will the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Platform Rack work on my 2011 Nissan Cube?

Question:

Will the Thule Raceway 2 Bike Platform Rack work on my 2011 Nissan Cube? The car sits too low for me to consider a tow hitch/hitch rack. Id much rather try to stay away from roof racks because of my height and the weight of my bikes between 32 - 42 lbs depending on which bike. Id be transporting mountain bikes.

Yes, the Thule Raceway Platform Carrier, # TH9003, will work great on your2011 Nissan Cube. I recently had the chance to install this rack on a vehicle and it is very easy to install and remove. It is also very adjustable for carrying different styles of bikes on the rack.

I have included links to a video for you to review that should help with your decision. You may also want to consider a bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, for use with bikes that do not have a horizontal cross bar for carrying the bikes level, see video.

If you have two bikes weighing 32 and 42 pounds, the capacity of the Raceway rack would not support both bikes on the rack at the same time, and damage to the rack or your vehicle could result. In this case I would recommend a hitch and a bike rack the is raised to provide clearance at the rear when navigating steep drives and deep dips.

For the 2011 Nissan Cube the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24845, and the Thule T2 Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, # TH917XTR, would be an excellent choice and would be able to transport both of your bikes with no weight issues or ground clearance worries.
