does the oil filter have to be moved? 2110 vw, mild cam, weber 48s

When installing the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit, # D15660, the oil filter is not moved, it is installed onto the bottom side of the sandwich adapter, # D15735, that is included in the kit. The sandwich adapter is installed on the engine block semi permanently and then the filter is installed and removed from the adapter for oil changes.
You will need to make sure that you have at least 2 inches of clearance below your OEM Filter to install the sandwich adapter and be able to install and remove the oil filter.
If your vehicle does not have room for this application you would need to go with a remote filter landing kit, # D15748, along with the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Cooler Assembly w/ Fan, # D15860, and the Derale In-Line Fan Control Thermostat, item # D15721.
I posted photos showing how the sandwich adapter installs and how the in line thermostat installs and is wired.
