Question:
I am new to 5th wheeling. I have a 2008 F350 Crew Cab - 8 ft bed. I bought a Forest River Ultra Light Rockwood 25 Model 8244S. Hitch weight 990. GVW 8200. I want a good hitch that is easy to hook up from any angle and one I can install myself without drilling. Your recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

The Reese 20K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # RP30081, that you have referenced is an excellent choice for your 2008 Ford F-350 Crew Cab. The 9-inch wide funnel area and a 4-way pivoting head will ease hookup, even on ground that is not level.
The installation brackets and rails you will need are the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50082-58. These vehicle specific brackets will mount to existing holes in your vehicles frame. You will need to drill holes in your truck bed for installation of the bed rails.
If this is the first time installing a fifth wheel I would allow a full day for the installation. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Reese hitch and the base rail installation kit.
The only other recommendation is the Reese Elite Series 18K Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Wiring Harness, part # RP30142. This is the top of the line fifth wheel hitch from Reese.
It will use the Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP30073. This installation kit is the Power Puck mounting system. It will install under the truck bed, with no exposed bed rails. It will only have 4 small mounting holes that will sit flush with the bed and allow you complete access to your truck bed when the hitch is removed.
I am including a link to the instructions on the hitch and the install kit. Also, a link to a video of those parts being installed on a Ford F-350.
Either one of these recommendations would work well for you in ease of use and installation.
