How to Install the Tail Light Capsule with Replaceable Bulb in the Wesbar Submersible Tail Light

Question:

Does the light housing have to be removed to remove the #3348 waterproof capsule? If so, the studs are corroded and turn with the nut. I do not want to destroy the whole light assembly if there is a simple fix.

To install the replacement bulb, 1157 stop turn tail, # A1157B or 193 or 194 side marker, # A194B, in a newer Wesbar Submersible Low Profile Trailer Tail Light, like # 403076, you will need to remove the red lenses, and then the clear housing can be removed from the inside of the housing. The bulbs can then be replaced. An o-ring in the housing seals the capsule when reinstalling the clear housing.

If you have an older model Wesbar Submersible Low Profile Trailer Tail Light, no longer in production, with a sealed capsule like the Wesbar Replacement Tail Light Capsule, # 763560, the capsule is held into the light housing with a clip at the front and rear. There is a slot in the light housing at the forward and rearward installation points one end is slid into the a slot and the other end is designed to snap into the other slot.
