Could a Fairly Handy Person Install a Transmission Cooler on a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

I just bought a sailboat which combined with its trailer probably weighs under 1000 pounds. How much should it cost to install a transmission cooler in a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan, or is it easy enough for a fairly handy person to do himself?

A fairly handy person could install a transmission cooler onto a vehicle pretty easily. I have installed a cooler on two of my cars without a problem and I consider myself fairly handy.

I attached an installation video of a transmission cooler being installed onto a vehicle to give you an idea of what it is like. Most vehicle will not require the removal of the front end like the vehicle in the video, so do not let that discourage you.

I also attached an FAQ article on transmission coolers for you to check out.

To get an installation quote for the installation of a Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D12906 on your 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan I would recommend you contact a reputable transmission repair shop and ask them for a quote.
