i have a 2003 chevy silvarado and all my lights work the way they are supose to with the trailer hooked up, but with all the lights off on the truck and the trailer hooked up the left trailer light comes on.hooked up the trailer to a different vehical and the trailer lights worked fine.So i checked the truck harness connector with a test light and all the connections worked except the left brake light did not have power.and when i turn the left blinker on with the trailer hooked up both lights blink on the trailer

I would recommend you use a circuit tester, like part # 40376 to check the functions on your 7 way connector. Check each pin as its function is activated. If that checks out you might have a weak ground connection on the vehicle or the trailer side. There should be a secure ground connection to clean metal on both the trailer and the vehicle side of the connector.
