Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

The Thule Vertex 2 Bike Carrier, # TH9028, is a trailer hitch mounted bike rack. Your 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe would have to have a trailer hitch in order to install the rack. The square shank at the bottom of the rack fits into the receiver opening of the trailer hitch and is held in by a hitch pin. If you do not have a trailer hitch on your Santa Fe and you want one, I recommend the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, # 87419. It is the most popular hitch for your vehicle. Installation of the hitch does not require drill;ling into the vehicle as you can see in the instructions and video links for the hitch I have added for you.

If you do not want to add a trailer hitch, you can still get a bike rack. You can use a trunk mount bike rack. Only certain trunk mount bike racks will fit your vehicle. I have done the research and found that trunk mount racks from Thule and Yakima will fit.

This rack features retractable cables that make installation and removal of the rack quick and easy and you will not have to worry about straps like with other trunk mount bike racks.
