1. Will this rack fit factory crossbars for a 2009 Volvo V70? 2. Why is it not recommended for bikes with composite frames? I have a Specialized Tarmac road bike. Thanks!

The Yakima Raptor, # Y02093, will fit the factory crossbars on a 2009 Volvo V70 but it will require Universal MightyMounts, # Y03590. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
The rack cannot be used on bikes with composite frames because the clamp that grips the frame could damage it. Instead, I recommend a rack that hold the bike at the wheel. Take a look at the Yakima HighRoller, # Y02091. Because this rack holds the bike at the wheel rather than the frame, it is compatible with bikes that have composite frames. This rack will also require the MightyMounts. I have included a link to the installation details and a video review.
