Will the Thule 9003 Platform Carrier fit on a 2008 Volvo S40 T5?

I contacted our representative at Thule and she informed me that the Thule Raceway Platform 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9003, will fit the standard model 2008 Volvo S40. She could not confirm that # TH9003 would fit the T5 model.

I did some research on the internet and found that the T5 is the AWD Turbo model. Also, that the T5 can come equipped with a rear spoiler and added fascia. If your Volvo S40 T5 is equipped with a spoiler, the Thule Raceway may not fit.

Since the T5 comes with added bumper fascia, installing a hitch to use a hitch back rack, may require trimming or removal of the bumper fascia.

For carrying a bike on your vehicle, I would recommend using a roof rack. If you do not have a factory roof rack, you will need the Thule Roof Rack, part # TH480R, THARB53, THKIT1590. Then you could go with a roof rack bike rack like the Thule Big Mouth, part # TH599XTR.
