According to Derale, using a Transmission Cooling Pan, like # D14200, can reduce fluid temperatures 20 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, you will have a capacity gain of 2 quarts, and a magnetic drain plug with reusable rubber/steel washer.
This particular model is designed for most GM Turbo 350 transmissions from 1968 to 1986.
