Question:
I have a 2010 Toyota Rav4 with the rear mounted wheel. Will the Softride Hitch Bike Rack - SR26249 fit on my vehicle? Do I need to purchase a Softride Bike Rack Extender Bar for 2 Hitches - SR26033? What trailer hitch do you recommend? Thanks.

If you use the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, part # 70785, you will be able to mount the Softride Hitch Bike Rack, part # SR26249. The reason I know it will work, is that the Hidden Hitch # 70785 measures 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest edge of the rear spare tire. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the Softride Bike Rack when folded measures 6.9 inches. But, with such a small margin of clearance when folded up I would recommend using the Softride Bike Rack Extender Bar, part # SR26033.
For a trailer hitch, I would recommend the hitch I mentioned earlier, Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, part # 70785, which is a Class III 2 inch hitch This is the highest rated hitch available for your vehicle and will work well with the Softride Hitch Bike Rack.
You will want to make sure to stay within the tongue weight capacity of the hitch and vehicle as stated in the vehicles owners manual. The weight of the bike racks and the bikes you carry will be considered tongue weight.
I have linked instructions and a video review of the Softride Hitch Bike Rack, part # SR26249. I have also linked instructions and a video installation of the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, part # 70785.
