Question:
I have a 2008 grand caravan with a 3.8 litre and 6 speed transmission. Can you tell me the approximate size of the fitting that would replace the fitting on my existing factory cooler. My transmission shop is having problems with the size of the fittings and I would like a little more info before I order this cooler. Thank you.

The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.8 liter engine will need either an 11/32 inch hose barb fitting, which is included with the Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13503, or it will need a 1/2 inch NPT x 3/8 inch fitting. I have included a link to our transmission cooler accessories main page which includes numerous fittings and adapters for you to view.
An aftermarket transmission cooler should be used to supplement the existing cooler, and not replace it, for optimum performance. I have included a link to our FAQ article on Transmission Coolers as well as a video showing a typical installation.
