Question:
I was wondering which Brophy tie down anchor is the best for my 2000 F-150 4x4 single cab 8ft bed. TDSF or HSSF? If both fit, what is the difference between them? I only have an inch of clearance between the camper and the bed rail! Thanks, Id appreciate the help!

I contacted our representative at Brophy about the differences between the Tie Down Anchor, part # TDSF, and the Camper Tie Down, part # HSSF.
Part # TDSF can be used on campers that have a total length of up to 8 feet in length. Part # HSSF can be used on any size campers.
Part # TDSF mounts into the stake pocket, where as part # HSSF mounts over the sidewall of the truck bed.
Also, part # HSSF is ok to use in trucks with spray-in bed liners. If your truck has a drop-in bed liner, it will need to be trimmed or removed to use part # HSSF.
If your camper has a total length of more than 8 feet, you will need to use part # HSSF.
The recommended hardware kit to install either tie down kit is Camper Tie Down Hardware Package, # TDHP.
