Troubleshooting Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118243 Not Working on a 2001 Ford Super Duty

Question:

installed oem replacement wiring not working can,t figure out why

asked by: Joe C

Expert Reply:

If you are not getting any power or signals, or limited signals to the 7-Way on the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118243, then the problem could be with the fuses and/or relays that came with it. If not installed, they will need to be. If the truck already had some and you did not replace the factory ones with the replacements, the old ones may be bad and need to be replaced.

According to the installation details, which I have linked for reference, you will need to consult your owners manual to determine which spots require the relays and fuses on your 2001 Ford Super Duty.
