Question:
How thick is the metal on this gooseneck?

I went out into our warehouse and measured the dimensions of the legs that run from the hitch plate to the tabs that go into the rails of the Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part # 16085, and found that the height of the legs is 1-1/2 inches and the width of the legs is 2-1/8 inches straight across at its widest point near the mounting brackets.
This hitch can handle 25,000 lbs GTW, I also attached installation instructions for this product below for you to check out.
