Bike Rack Recommendation for Use with a Pop Up Camper Trailer

Question:

I would like to haul two bikes when I go camping with my pop up trailer. I drive over 1000miles to the campground every winter. Will this attach to the spare tire on the back of my trailer? Should I consider another type rack?

Expert Reply:

There are only a few bike racks that are rated for use behind a trailer. I have included a link to the options for you to view. You will either need to have a 4 inch continuous welded steel bumper, a ladder at the back of your trailer, or a hitch to use most of them.

The exception is the Swagman Pop-Up Mighty Rack, # S80550. This rack attaches to the top of your pop up camper and can handle up to 4 bikes. I have included links to the installation details and a video review of this rack for you to view.
