Is it safe to use diodes on lights of a 2005 tj wrangler? Someone told me to install seperate bulbs, as diodes may feed power back into the system.

Yes, it is safe to use diodes on your Jeep Wrangler. Diode Kits, like the Hopkins Tail Light Isolating Diode System, item # 38955, are designed to stop any power feed back onto the vehicles electrical system.
If it concerns you, and drilling a hole in the tail light housing is not an issue, you can definitely use a bulb kit on your TJ. Blue Ox recommends the Blue Ox Tail Light Wiring Kit, item # BX8869, along with the Blue Ox 4-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord and plugs, item # BX8861.
I would also recommend using some Loctite Silicone Gasket Maker, item # LT37467, to seal around the bulb sockets after installation of a bulb and socket kit.
