I want to get a 2 ball to install in the bumper of my regular cab 2009 Toyota Tacoma. What shaft length do I need? The bumper thickness is 1.5. Thanks.

Since the bumper thickness on your vehicle is 1-1/2 inches I would recommend you get a Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Long Shank, part # 19262. This # 19262 is designed for drawbars and bumpers that are between 1 inch and 2 inches thick.
The Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Medium Shank, part # 63845, that you referenced is designed for drawbars and bumpers that are from 1/2 inch to 1 inch in thickness.
