Compatibility of Hopkins EasyLift Tailgate Assist Part # 74211 on 1995 Ford Bronco

I spoke with one of my contacts at Hopkins, the manufacturer of the EasyLift Tailgate Assist. I was told that in order to be installed, the tailgate must be removable and be at least 62 inches in width and 19 inches tall. They could not provide any more specific fit information than that, probably due to the age of the vehicle.

The rear window should not really have any bearing on the fit, as the torsion spring attaches to the vehicle by slipping into holes drilled into the bottom of the tailgate and the front of the jamb. The key would be whether of not the tailgate is removable.
