This model year has a metal lip where the spare hangs, and I understand that it obstructs this style hub-mounted rack. Are you CERTAIN that the Thule SpareMe will fit an 07 RAV4? Thanks.

There was a fit issue regarding the original design of the Thule Spare Me spare tire mount bike rack but they fixed the issue in subsequent models ending in XT and XTR. The newest version, # TH963PRO, is listed as a fit for your 2007 Toyota RAV4 provided that it does not have a spare tire mounted back up camera.
I spoke with my contact at Thule to verify this information and she confirmed that the TH963PRO will fit your vehicle. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
