What Part do I need to Convert My 1990 Ford Aerostar that has Separate Turn and Brake Lights

Question:

My 1990 Ford Aerostar Van has the turning-lights and Brake-Lights as separate lights and my trailer does not have them as separate lights. The trailers Turn and stop lights are the same bulb. How do I wire the vans plug so I can use my trailers existing lights? I also borrow larger trailers from a friend and have the same problem when I borrow his trailers. I use a 4-wire flat-plug.

Expert Reply:

What you will need is a Tail light converter like part # 119175KIT. This item takes the two separate signals from the brake and turn signal functions, and allows them to use the same wire and bulb on the trailer. The kit contains everything you need to complete the installation.
