How To Adjust Reese Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control # RP26002

Question:

I purchased a reese dual cam set up for my trailer from you and as you can see in the photo, when it comes to making the final adjustments by loosining the two bolts and making a few righr and left turns to center the cams, it has a extra bar on it inabling the adjustment bar from moving up and back. if you look at your video, the reese cam looks different from the one I bought hhen I purchased my Straight line hitch set up. Please help.

Expert Reply:

When making the final adjustment for the Reese Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control, part # RP26002, the 2 nuts should be loose before making the left and right turns. Having the nuts loose will allow them to move and settle into the correct position. Then you will want to drive straight approximately 100 yards and then tighten the 2 nuts down.

I have linked instructions and an installation video of the Reese Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control, part # RP26002.
