To install the Curt Front Mount Hitch on a 2004 GMC Yukon 1500, you may need to trim the front air dam or fascia for the hitch to install properly. How much trimming and if trimming is even needed varies from model to model and you will only know once you have the hitch. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.
The other option would be the Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch, # 65023. There are no notes regarding trimming or other modifications with the installation of this hitch. I have included a link to the installation details for it as well for reference.
