Factory Wiring Harness that Does Not Work on a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

I have a 1997 grand cherokee and it has a factory wiring harness on that doesnt work. Do I use a new harness that is for a tow package or one that isnt?

If you have tested the trailer connector with a circuit tester like part # 40376, and determined that the harness not working has nothing to do with a blown fuse, then you will want to replace the converter unit.

We have a T-1 Connector, part # 118349, that is specifically designed for your vehicle. The unit draws its 12V power directly from the vehicle battery, instead of drawing it through the vehicle lighting circuits. Installation is a snap, with no cutting or splicing required.
