OEM Brake Controller does not Operate Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brakes on Gooseneck Trailer

Question:

I have a 2008 1ton chevy truck with the factory installed brake switch on dash.My trailer with electric brakes only works fine,but the 40ft gooseneck trailer with hydraulic over electric brakes doesnt work at all.Dealership cant give me a answer as to why it doesnt work or what they needs to do

To the best of my knowledge, the OEM brake controllers were not designed to work with electric over hydraulic brakes. The Tekonsha P3 part # 90195 and the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885, that we offer are designed for use with electric over hydraulic brakes, as well as standard electric trailer brakes.
