Question:
I need help finding the vehicle wire for the reverse lights so I can attach my 7 pin/4 pin multi-tow connector to it. Is there usually a wiring harness on a 1995 f-150 with no tow package that I can hook into, or do I need to look behind the drivers side tail light? I tried to find out on your various youtube videos, but each time the installer said something like, we wont be using that... oh the frustration!! Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. To be more enlightening, I installed a brake controller and the multi-tow connector using a t-connector four flat that was already on the truck. apparntly a prvious owner used the truck to pull a goose neck trailer, the wiring for a brake controller was still there, as was the mounts and some wires for maybe a 6 point connector. there is also an after market switch under my dashboard that I think I will be able to use for the auxilliary power set-up on my 7-pin rv connection, I will still need to run a wire or find one that I can hook into in the back. right now everything is hooked up to the best of my knowledge according to the manufaucturers directions.

Without a tow package, there probably will not be a harness or wire bundle that you can tap into. Your best bet would be to tap into the wiring behind one of your back up lights. Use a circuit tester, like part # 40376, to verify this connection. It sounds as if you have the rest all figured out. Good job!
