Adding a 7-Way Blade Style Trailer Connector to a 2010 Chevy Silverado

Question:

is there a fuse for the tail lights on the truck end on a 2010 chevy silverado 7 way plug if so where is it located

asked by: Chuck

Expert Reply:

The 2010 Chevy Silverado could have fuses or relays that will need to be added in order to make the 7-Way trailer connector at the rear of the vehicle functional. You can check the fuse/relay legend on the inside of the power distribution box lid to see what fuses or relays are needed, or find the information in your vehicle owners manual.

The correct replacement 7-Way trailer connector for your truck is the Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, # PK11916. I have included a link to an installation video showing a typical installation on a 2009 Silverado.
