Will the Yakima Skybox 16 fit on a 2011 Subaru Outback with factory crossbars?....and fit without interfering with the rear hatch? Thank you!

The Yakima SkyBox 16s Cargo Box, part # Y07178, is designed to fit most vehicles with factory roof racks. If you measure the lateral distance between the two crossbars of your factory roof rack and it measures between 24 and 36 inches then part # Y07178, it will fit your 2011 Subaru Outback.

According to the information I got from Yakima, the Yakima SkyBox 16s Cargo Box, part # Y07178, will fit your 2011 Subaru Outback with factory crossbars. Part # Y07178 will not interfere with the rear hatch. Since the mounting points of the Yakima SkyBox are adjustable, so you can adjust the mounting points slightly to the rear which will position box slightly forward, avoiding contact with rear hatch.

You will want to check the owners manual of your vehicle for the load capacity of your roof as you will not want to exceed it.
