Parts Needed to Convert a Weight Distribution System for use of the Reese Dual Cam Sway System

I currently have a Weight Distribution Systems that uses a 1200 lbs Round Bar Part Number 1185-05. I want to upgrade to the Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control system. If i purchase part number: RP58115 and RP26002 will I be able to convert my system over to a 1200 lbs system?

Converting your trailer over to use the Reese Dual Cam High-Performance Sway Control System, item # RP26002, will require that you get a Reese Round Bar Weight Distribution Head, item # RP58112, along with 2 of the Replacement Round Spring Bars, item # RP58115.

The Valley Weight Distribution Head will not accept the Reese Replacement Round Spring Bars, item # RP58115.

By the time you purchase these four items it would be more economical to purchase the Strait-Line Weight Distribution with Sway Control - Round Bar - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW, item # RP66078. You will still use your existing weight distribution shank and the hitch ball that is on your existing system. You could then further reduce your cost by selling the complete weight distribution system that you are currently using, minus the shank and hitch ball.
