Can Highland Sportwing 4 Bike Rack 1370400 Carry a 53lb Downhill Bike with 29in tires
Question:
Just wondering if this carrier can handle a big Downhill bike, 53 lbs, 29 x 3 tires. If not, what is the max size tire that will fit in the cradles? Does the individual bike weight matter, as long as the combo weight is inder 160 lbs? Thanks.

I checked with my contact at Highland, and I confirmed that the carrier would be able to handle a 53lb bike, and the wheel cradles will accept your 3in wide tires. The Aluminum SportWing bike rack # 1370400 has a weight capacity of 160lbs, but the bikes can vary in weight as long as the total load is less than the bike rack capacity.
