Can Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack F1413100334 Be Swung from Both Directions

Question:

Does the jack swing and lock in both directions? I.e. can the wheels be locked to the front rather than the back during transport? I have a low clearance utility trailer with limited space for the swing. Also, what is the clearance between the jacks tube and the trailer surface of the mounting bracket? I.e. how much space is required between the tube and trailer cargo box to allow it to clear when swinging? thanks

I checked with my contact at Fulton, and the # F1413100334 swing-up trailer jack can actually swing 360 degrees on the mounting bracket if needed. It can be locked in 4 different carrying positions, including toward the front of the trailer. It can also be carried straight up or straight down, depending on your needs. Carrying the jack upright might also be a good option for you if the trailer clearance to the ground becomes an issue.

The jack measures about 1-31/32 inches from the mounting edge of the bracket to the inside edge of the jack tube, so the it will fit closely next your trailer frame.

If you choose to, you could also weld the jack to your trailer frame using a Fulton weld-on mounting bracket and hardware kit # F500277.
