Should Covercraft Seat Covers be Washed in Salt Water Before Installation
Question:
Should these Carhartt seat covers be soaked in salt water and washed before installation? This was suggested on some U-tube videos. If so what is the salt to water ratio? I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 2016, 4 door.

In terms of washing the seat covers # SSC2468CAGY Covercraft only states the following:
Wash your SeatSavers in a conventional washing machine, using cold water, a low-sudsing detergent and a gentle cycle setting. Do NOT use bleach or fabric softener.
Dry the covers using the “air” or “low heat” setting on a standard tumble dryer. They may also be line dried, weather conditions and temperature permitting. Do NOT iron.
Salt water could actually cause those white streaky stains if the covers are not thoroughly rinsed. I recommend just following the washing instructions mentioned above if you want to wash them prior to installation.
