Question:
Ive taken the rear tire carrier off of my 2007 Hummer H2. The license plate in the rear lift gate is empty and doesnt have mounts or a light for the license plate. Ive seen add-ons for license plate holders, but havent noticed mounting tabs/hardware for the actual plate, nor have I seen any lights mounted to illuminate the plate at night, per state law. What can you tell me about this?

Expert Reply:
The Putco Chrome Rear License-Plate Frame for Hummer H2 # P403416 is a license plate frame that is designed to fit around the handle of the lift gate on a 2006 to 2009 Hummer H2. It installs by using pre-applied 3M tape. It does not come with a light, but I do have the Optronics License-Plate Light, Adhesive Mount # LP56CB that also installs with 3M tape.
The other brackets I have would be the Optronics License-Plate Light w/ Mounting Bracket # LP55CB or the Peterson License Plate Light with Bracket # PM436B. Both of these brackets are designed to be installed by drilling holes.
