Will the Bulldog Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # BD151443 Fit on a 2 inch by 5 inch Trailer Frame

Question:

Need to replace my boat trailer jack. The frame/tongue is 2 wide by 5 high. Will the #BD151443 work? Thanks.

We have several options for a bolt on swivel jack for your trailer with 2 by 5 inch frame (see link). I would recommend the Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with 8 inch Wheel - Sidewind - 1,500 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson, item # DL22800, for your trailer if the 1500 pound capacity is sufficient for your boat and trailer. These jacks are high quality and designed to fit square tongues up to 3 x 5 inches.

The Bulldog Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack - Bolt On - Topwind - 10 inch Lift - 2,000 lbs, item # BD151443, is not designed to fit on frames higher than 4 inches tall. At this time we do not have a swing up jack for 5 inch tall frame that has a 2,000 pound capacity.

Another option is the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack for 4 x 5 Frames - Dual 7 inch Wheels - Bolt On - 1,600 lbs, item # F1413130334, that has a 1600 pound capacity and is designed to fit frames up to 5 inches tall.

Question:

Only one more question. Please let me know the retracted dimension from the center of the mounting bracket to the bottom of wheel. I only have 12 inches max.

I went out to the warehouse and measured both the Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with 8 inch Wheel - Sidewind - 1,500 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson, item # DL22800, and the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack for 4 x 5 Frames - Dual 7 inch Wheels - Bolt On - 1,600 lbs, item # F1413130334, for you.

The Dutton-Lainson jack, # DL22800, measures 13 inches from the center of the mounting bracket to the bottom of the wheel. I do not believe this will work for you if you need 12 inches.

The F2, # F1413130334, measures 10 inches when the mounting bracket, which is adjustable, is adjusted to the lowest position possible. It sounds like this will be the best jack for your application.
