Question:
Will the 119130 converter work properly on a 2010 Nissan Altima? I see there is a device custom made for the car with connectors but it is $54 vs. $18 for the 119130. I have no problem spicing into the wiring on the vehicle to save the money. In the past I installed an older maybe 10 years old converter on a 2007 Accord and it messed up the cruise control kept turning off. So want to be sure this converter will work. Thanks.

I would advise against splicing into the vehicle wiring on your 2010 Nissan Altima. Like you mentioned regarding the issue with your 2007 Accord, by splicing, especially on newer vehicles, you run the risk of causing problems with the vehicle computer system, which could control everything from tire pressure sensors to something as crucial as the ignition.
The best route will be to use the custom-fit wiring # 118470, as it pulls power directly from the vehicle battery instead of from the tail light circuit, like the # 119130 converter would. This protects your vehicle wiring system from overload, and avoids any computer errors you might encounter by splicing in a universal wiring harness.
You can view the installation instructions for the # 118470 wiring harness, as well as a typical installation video featuring a 2008 model Altima, at the links provided.
