Roof Rack and Roof Mount Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen

Need quality roof rack for two bikes. Vehicle has vertical bars. Can you let me know what I need for complete set up. Once received, I will confirm and order. Thanks.

For a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen with side rails that run front to back, you will need to add cross bars that run side to side in order to install a roof mount bike rack.
I recommend the Thule Rapid Aero bars because they are strong, sturdy, light weight, and their design cuts down on wind noise. You will need Thule Rapid Aero Crossroad Roof Mounted Railing Foot Pack, # TH450R, and Thule AeroBlade Aluminum Load Bars, # THARB47. You will then be able to use the Thule Echelon Roof Mounted Bike Rack - Fork Mount, # TH518 that you have referenced. For 2 bikes, you will need 2 racks as each will only hold 1 bike. You can also use a rack with which you do not have to remove the front wheel of the bike. Take a look at the Thule Criterium Roof Mounted Bike Rack - Frame Clamp, # TH598. This rack has an arm that grips the bike frame and wheel straps that secure each wheel. This rack also holds 1 bike so you would need 2.
