The best way to make the connection from the red wire on a brake controller to the stop light circuit on the brake switch is to solder in the red wire to the stop light wire. You will need to be careful not to overheat and damage the vehicle wire or surrounding wires when soldering. If you need a soldering iron, you can use # BTSI30 and solder # FL0803490. It would then be a good idea to wrap the connection in electrical tape.

The next best option is to use a Scotch-Loc if your 2010 Honda Pilot does not have a tow package and you used an ETBC7 kit. You would need a Scotch-Loc small enough for your vehicle wiring but large enough for the brake controller wiring. These connectors are available at hardware stores. I have included a video that shows how to use a Scotch-Loc.

If it does have a tow package, you could use Tekonsha Wire Replacement, # 3070-P and plug it into the vehicle harness located under the steering column, to the left, taped to another harness near the brake pedal.
