Trailer Hitch Fit for 2011 Mitsubishi RVR, 2 Wheel Drive
Question:
Can you put a trailer hitch on a 2 wheel drive Mitsubishi Rvr 2011.

Expert Reply:
The trailer hitches we offer for the 2011 Mitsubishi RVR will work well on your 2 Wheel Drive vehicle. These hitches do not list fit restrictions listed for 2 wheel drive models of the RVR.
The only Class III trailer hitch option for the 2011 RVR is the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13079 that you referenced. This hitch offers a 2 inch receiver hitch that will provide you with more options for hitch accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers. The hitch has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds with a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
No drilling is required to install the # C13079 hitch, but you will want to remove the tow loops if they are present on your vehicle. The installation instructions for this hitch are attached. I have also attached a help article on installing a trailer hitch for you.
It is important to note that Curt's warranty for this hitch will require the use of a stabilization strap # 18050 for all non trailer loads, such as bike racks or cargo carriers.
