Question:
Im trying to wire up an EBC and Im having a problem. My E350 has the prewired plug behind the parking brake that my Prodigy fits right into but there is no blue wire at the back of the vehicle. I found the tow harness wiring and tested it all. Everything is there signals, brakes, running lights except for the Blue EBC wire. It also has 10 wires instead of the normal 7. Dont know what the extra ones are for. The van says that it comes with tow package standard so whats the deal with the missing blue. Its driving me nuts. I dont want to run a blue if its there somewhere. If it has a beginning it must terminate but I cant find where. Thanks.

The blue wire, or EBC wire ends somewhere along the factory wiring harness. Where it ends can vary and it is better to run a power wire from the blue wire under the dash to the back of the vehicle. For this you will need 10 Gauge Blue Primary Wire, part # 10-1-1, which is sold by the foot. I would say 25 feet would be more than enough wire to run to the back of your 2007 Ford E350 Van.
If your vehicle has just the factory 4-flat connector, you will need to install a 7-way connector. I recommend Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, part # 37185, because it has an outlet for both a 4 and 7 way connector. The No-Drill Mount Bracket, part # 18136, will allow you to mount part # 37185, to the vehicle easily.
For the 10 wires, you would need to use a circuit tester, part #3808, to find the function of each wire, I cannot say for certain what the other wires functions are.
I have linked an FAQ on Ford brake controller installation that may be a good reference.
