Question:
I am looking to buy the 4843DAT backup camera. I see that it can be left inside the hitch when not towing. It appears that the lens extends outside of the hitch. Exactly how much? I am afraid that the people who park by the touch and feel method will damage the camera because the hitch bolt holds the camera from being pushed back or stolen. Thanks.

The lens portion of the Master Lock Back Up Camera, part # 4843DAT is actually recessed a bit inside the receiver. The face of the adapter bracket shown in the product description video extends only one tenth of an inch from the front face of the receiver.
I will provide a link below to the product description video.
