Recommend A Trunk Bike Rack or Hitch Bike Rack on 2005 Toyota Camry, Easy to Install, Use

I need a 3 bike rack for my 2005 Toyota Camry. I was considering the 3Bones rack but I read some bad reviews. I saw the Yakima but then it had some bad reviews too. I want a rack that is easy to install, sturdy, doesnt sway and doesnt scratch the paint on my car. ShouId I consider a hitch type bike rack? But I hear they are more expensive. I am a new biker and hopfully I will use my bike and the expense will be worth it. Thanks Kathy

The item you selected, the Yakima QuickBack 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Rack, part # Y02622, would work with your 2005 Toyota Camry. It is easy to install, has great construction, and has padding on the mounting points and straps to protect your vehicle. For installing part # Y02622 you will want to wash and dry the exterior of the where the bike rack will mount and clean the mounting points of the bike rack to prevent scratching. If there is dirt on the vehicle or the mounting points, part # Y02622 will scratch the paint.
However you may want to consider a hitch type bike rack for your 2005 Toyota Camry as it would meet the criteria you want better than a trunk mounted rack. With the hitch mounted rack, the bike rack is secured in place and will not move, it is sturdy, and it will not touch the paint on your vehicle.
If you plan to get into cycling as a hobby I would recommend a hitch mounted bike rack. For this you would need a hitch for your 2005 Toyota Camry, the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, part # 90174 will work perfectly. This is a 1-1/4 inch hitch, it is fairly easy to install and will work great for a hitch mounted bike rack.
