Will Yakima BasketCase Cargo Carrier, # Y07012, Fit On A 2000 VW Jetta With Factory Crossbars

Question:

My son has a 2000 VW Jetta with original equipment roof rack and cross bars. Will the Yakima Y07012 cargo carrier fit on this system. Thanks.

For the Yakima BasketCase Roof Rack Cargo Carrier, # Y07012, to fit on your 2000 VW Jetta factory crossbars you will need to use the Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts, # Y03590. These mounts will attach to your factory crossbars and give you an attachment point for the Yakima roof basket.

You will also want to check your owners manual or with the dealer on the weight capacity of the roof of your 2000 VW Jetta.
