Question:
Do you need to install a battery disconnect on a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, if so why?

From what I have found in my research, to flat tow the vehicle the ignition key must be turned to the first or accessory position. Even with all accessories in the vehicle switched off, this creates sufficient draw on the battery to discharge the battery gradually while towing. After around 5 hours, the battery will not have enough charge to start the vehicle.
I have read that removing the Ignition Off Draw or IOD fuse from the fuse box under the hood will prevent this from happening. This was for a 2009 Wrangler, I could not find any information regarding the 2010 model.
