The Reese SC Trunnion Weight Distribution with Sway Control, # RP66155, will work on your trailer with surge brakes, but it has a Gross Towing Weight capacity of 12,000 lbs. and a is designed for a tongue weight between 600 lbs. to 1,200 lbs.

On your trailer with a 9,100 lbs. gross weight capacity, the tongue weight would be 10 to 15 per cent of the gross weight so that would put you at 910 lbs. to 1,365 lbs. tongue weight range. You will want the tongue weight of your trailer to fall within the tongue weight range of your weight distribution system to get the best ride and for the spring bars to work correctly.

I would recommend the Reese SC Trunnion Weight Distribution with Sway Control, # RP66157, for your application. This weight distribution system with sway control will work with the surge brakes on your trailer. It has a 15,000 lbs. Gross Towing Weight capacity and a tongue weight range of 800 lbs. to 1,500 lbs. This tongue weight range would work better for your trailer.

The Reese Weight Distribution, # RP66157, will include the shank but you will need the hitch ball. The hitch balls available for your weight range is the 2-5/16 inch size.

The Tow Ready 2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19286, has a 12,000 lbs. weight capacity and the Tow ready 2-5/16 inch Hitch Ball, # 63836, has a 14,000 lbs. weight capacity.

That would be all you will need to attach a weight distribution system to your trailer.
