Fifth Wheel Rail Placement Location in Bed of 1995 Ford F-250
Question:
I bought a Reese rp30035 kit and am looking for instructions as to where exactly in the bed of the truck the rails are supposed to go. I was wondering if you guys coukd take some time and try to send them to me. The truck is an extended cab long box with the over load leaf springs 8800 gvwr.

A lot depends on which 5th wheel installation kit you are using. If using the Reese universal installation kit, # RP30035, in your 1995 Ford F-150, you would measure from the rear edge of the truck bed (not the tailgate) forward 32-1/2 inches. That is where the back edge of the rear rail will be. This will place the center of the king pin on the trailer 4 inches in front of the rear axle.
To position the front rail you would first position the rear rail. Then use the hitch to determine the placement of the front rail. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the Reese universal kit to the right.
