Using Tail Light Isolating Diode System on 1996 Plymouth Voyager Equipped with 4-Pole Flat Connector

Question:

Hi, I have a tow dolly that I use to tow a 96 Plymouth Voyager behind the motorhome. I would like to use the car taillights instead of a light bar. You have a universal kit and a specialized kit that should work. My question is this. The Voyager is already set up to tow and has an output using the 4 wire horizontal standard. If I get one of your kits, will this mess up the existing towing setup?

Expert Reply:

Using the Tail Light Isolating Diode System, part # 38955 will tap into the tail light circuits of your Voyager, but not affect your existing tow wiring. The diodes are used to make sure that no voltage feeds back into the tow vehicle.

The product description page features easy to follow wiring diagrams to assist your installation.
