Will the Thule Mountaineer Cargo Carrier with Easy Snap Kit Fit My 2009 Chevy Traverse Car Rack

Just purchased a used Thule Mounatineer w/ no hardware. I was wondering is the Replacement EasySnap Mounting Kit the right kit? Also, will it fit my 2009 Chevy Traverses cross bars?

Yes, if the roof mounted cargo box you purchased is the Thule Mountaineer Roof Cargo Carrier, item # TH669ES, then the Replacement EasySnap Mounting Kit for Thule Cargo Boxes, item # 05704, will work and will mount to the factory cross bars on your 2009 Chevy Traverse.

Thanks for the info. The Mountaineer I purchased is model No. 669TT. Which replacement hardware will I need?

The mounting hardware attachment is different for the # TH669ES boxes, there is a plate molded into the bottom of the box that makes it strong enough to use the u-bolt Easy Snap Kit, # 05704. The 669tt Time Travel versions uses plate and carriage bolt style mounting hardware.

We have replacement hardware for these boxes, it is the Thule QM3 Mounting Hardware Kit, item # 04997. I spoke to my contact at Thule to make sure this is the correct mounting hardware and she confirmed that it is.
